This design proposal aims to create the living condition between the Protected Habitable space and The Freedom of exploration. With the combination of the proposal of a mobile system and a well-protected shell, this project manifests an innovative way of dealing with the limitation of human being on the moon surface. It is a project that shows the ambiguity between Freedom and Protection, minimized the negative effect of extreme climate condition on the Moon.

Project proposes a circular plan within the existing lava tube. It shows a harmonious relationship with the craters around the moon surface.

Under the surface, the project uses the topological optimization structure to simulate the form of sub-structures. The fabrication robot on the Moon will be using flourishing solar resources and moon dust to convert Calcium to the Crystal structure first, then, produce reinforcement base on the crystal structure. The result turns out a bright interior and also having a maximum capacity to resist the Meteorolite.

The Living Logistic System is another parallel framework attached on main structure, and the mobility of ‘the jacket’ provides the opportunity that let travel temporary staying outside of the protection, and could quickly get back when danger is coming. The project title called ‘the Jacket’ because this device provides the survival condition for the human being in the extreme climate condition, set an envelope works as a personal unit, such like clothes. This device carries minimal personal demands on the Moon, and provide maximum freedom of human being at the same time. As the keystone of the Living Logistic System on the moon surface, ‘the Jacket’ initialized future framework of the lunar living system.
